Kitchen Helper and Prep cook
Duties:
- Assist in the preparation and production of bakery & fresh menuitems such as bread, pastries, salads, soups and sandwiches
- Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes
- Work alongside Baker lead in production of bread items including mix, knead, and shaping dough
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens and mixers
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Package finished products for display or sale
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a bakery or food production environment is preferred but not required
-Serv-safe (food safety) training and certificate is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and consistency
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

We're looking for a dependable Kitchen Assistant to join our bakery team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys preparing food and takes pride in creating quality products—you don't need to be a professional chef or have extensive food service experience. We can teach you the skills you need.
In this role, you'll prepare our fresh salads, assist with bread and sourdough production, help keep the kitchen organized and running smoothly, and occasionally assist customers in our bakery. Every day is a little different, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and likes working in a positive, team-oriented environment.
