JOB SPECIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Production Welder is responsible for producing quality piston rod and NPC sub-assemblies as required by production demand. This position is responsible for fitting and welding steel and operates welding machines according to specifications applying knowledge of machining methods. The Production Welder works at the station assigned by supervisor and follows all established work instructions and/or procedures. The Production Welder is responsible for actively working towards meeting production schedules and keeping the work area clean, organized, and free of unused material. They are also responsible for completing logs and charts as required by work instructions, performing all jobs in a safe manner while complying with all safety rules and regulations.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
2+ years hands-on manufacturing experience
Familiarity with welding equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges
Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions and/or procedures
Ability to read and understand quality specifications
Effective oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of correct component part numbers
Work with minimal supervision
