Weekend and afternoon availability is required for this position. Applicants must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on business demands.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries in a professional manner
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions and cash handling
- Provide product demos to educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Manage merchandising and stocking to keep the store organized, appealing, and well-supplied
- Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments
- Support inventory management through stock checks and merchandising updates
- Assist with retail sales goals by promoting products and enhancing customer engagement
- Ensure compliance with all safety and legal regulations related to retail cannabis sales
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience in a grocery store or similar environment preferred
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math is essential
- Strong communication skills to educate customers confidently and clearly
- Experience conducting product demos or upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
- Knowledge of cannabis products or related industry experience is advantageous but not required
