Overview:
The Custodian is to clean the campus, buildings, grounds, and physical property of Acworth United Methodist Church (AUMC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities. If you have experience in industrial cleaning, floor care, and custodial services, we welcome your application. The job requires self-motivation, accountability, and integrity. This position requires an ownership and responsibility to represent AUMC well. The Custodian must relate well to staff, volunteers, church members, and visitors, as needed.
Responsibilities:
1. Cleans the church buildings and physical property. This includes trash collection; bathroom cleaning and restocking; vacuuming; mopping; dusting; window washing; sanitizing and other cleaning as needed on schedule as provided by their supervisor.
2. Maintains inventory of cleaning products and supplies and reports needs in a timely manner to the correct supervisor to assure cleaning supplies remain stocked.
3. Ensure facilities are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
4. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed
5. Assures rooms are set up for meetings or gatherings as required
Skills:
- Proficiency in industrial cleaning techniques
- Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail in cleaning tasks
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members
