Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items using grilling, frying, and prep techniques to ensure quality and consistency
- Follow recipes and portion controls accurately to maintain menu standards
- Assist with meal assembly and food presentation for service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support kitchen operations by handling food preparation tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Collaborate with team members to meet service goals and uphold a positive work environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or similar settings
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques such as grilling and frying
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning and meal assembly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, along with fine dining experience or catering knowledge
