Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home care, assisted living, nursing homes, and community programs. This role involves working closely with individuals of diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, and other health conditions requiring specialized attention. Prior experience in senior care, home health, hospice care, or group homes is highly valued. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
- Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and responses to treatments or interventions
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities while ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans effectively
- Respond promptly to emergencies using CPR or first aid skills when necessary
Experience
Candidates should have relevant experience in caregiving roles such as home & community care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice or long-term care environments. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or memory-related conditions like dementia is preferred. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, and vital signs measurement is essential. Prior exposure to specialized care such as Alzheimer's or hospice is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and patience while working with diverse populations requiring compassionate support. Certifications in CPR and First Aid are highly desirable. Heavy lifting capability may be required for certain roles involving resident transfers or mobility assistance. A background in social work or nursing is beneficial for understanding comprehensive care needs. Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
