- Strong mechanical ability
- Knowledge of sheet metal layout (proper fittings), surface grinding and metallurgy.
- Forklift certification (license)
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety
- Willingness to learn the more complex aspects of the Laser operation
- Willingness to work in other areas as needed
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Comply with health, safety, (including OSHA), and environmental procedures, and ensure the cleanliness of the area.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written technical procedures and cut sheets as well as follow verbal instruction
- Ability to apply basic mathematical skills to include decimals, fractions, and conversions
- Measurement skills to include tape measure, sheet metal gauge, and dial calipers
- Ability to identify problems, collect information, establish facts, and suggest solutions
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, sitting, talking, hearing and use of hands in this support role is required
Specific vision abilities required to include close vision, and ability to adjust focus
Occasionally perform physical activities including lifting (up to 50 lbs. unassisted)

The noise level in the production area is usually moderately loud. The Laser department is a sectioned off area of the production floor.
- Safety glasses and hearing protection are required when in the production area
- PPE specific to tasks being performed is required
