Lutheran Church of Our Saviour (LCOS) is seeking a part-time Accompanist to strengthen its congregational worship life through music.
Job Purpose:
The Accompanist is responsible for providing musical support for the worship services of LCOS.
Essential Functions:The Accompanist shall:
- Provide music for all regularly scheduled worship services.
- Select and provide preludes and postludes for worship services.
- Support congregational singing on keyboard instruments provided (grand piano and digital).
- Accompany the Adult Choir at one mid-week rehearsal per month and Sunday mornings.
- Accompany vocalists and instrumentalists for worship.
Other Responsibilities: The Accompanist may:
- Schedule substitute accompanist in the event of an absence.
- Play for funerals and weddings (Right of first refusal).
Qualifications:The Accompanist should:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a music related field or equivalent work experience.
- Understand leading an assembly in corporate worship.
- Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of musical styles.
- Sight read music easily.

Compensation and Hours:
$11,700 to $15,600, depending on experience and education
