Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Toddler/Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and providing a nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children
- Complete necessary records
- Conduct systematic observations and evaluations of each child's progress; Create and maintain a portfolio for each child in your care group
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Supervise children during activities and ensure their safety
- Maintain frequent communications with families through documentation on daily sheets, informal discussions, communication app, and conferences
- Cultivate positive relationships with children and parents
- Maintain program site and equipment
- Follow all center policies, state regulations and national accreditation standards
- Complete 20 hours of professional development each year (through webinars, conferences, etc.)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree/ Associates in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with toddler and preschool-aged children
- Strong knowledge of child development principles
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create and implement engaging curriculum
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies
- Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Understanding of child welfare guidelines
Nice-to-have Skills:
-Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Proficiency in math concepts for early childhood education
- Ability to develop individualized learning plans for students
- Knowledge of effective communication techniques in childcare settings
