Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and conduct floor care to maintain a spotless appearance
- Manage heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies with proper manual handling techniques
- Ensure all sanitation standards are met by adhering to hotel housekeeping protocols and industry best practices
- Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries with excellent customer service skills
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning setting is preferred
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards is advantageous
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and buffers is desirable
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) enhances your ability to maintain a safe workspace
- Demonstrated ability to handle chemical agents responsibly and perform manual handling tasks safely
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions
