The Environmental Services Technician III plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, families, visitors, and team members. This physically demanding role is responsible for removing waste throughout the hospital, transporting soiled linen, handling biohazardous waste, maintaining collection areas, and supporting infection prevention efforts.
Physically demanding position – responsible for removing all waste from soiled utility rooms throughout the hospital.
✅ Transport regular waste, recycling, soiled linen, and biohazardous waste
✅ Maintain clean and safe linen rooms, dumpsters, and waste collection areas
✅ Operate equipment including pressure washers, leaf blowers, and cart washing machines
✅ Clean and disinfect patient and non-patient areas
✅ Deliver and collect linen throughout the hospital
✅ Maintain accurate linen and waste logs
✅ Support environmental safety and infection prevention initiatives
✅ Assist with onboarding and training EVS team members
✔️ High School Diploma or GED preferred
✔️ 3+ years of experience in healthcare support services, EVS, hospitality, or related field
✔️ Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) preferred
✔️ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
