Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Framer - Handyman - Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for framing structures, performing general handyman tasks, and delivering high-quality painting services across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring they meet safety standards, aesthetic goals, and client expectations. Must have driver's license and driver's insurance. Will operate company vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Construct and install wall frames, doorways, window casings, and other structural elements using various hand tools and power tools.
- Perform drywall installation, plastering, caulking, and finishing to achieve smooth surfaces ready for painting or further renovation work.
- Execute residential and commercial painting tasks, including surface preparation, priming, color matching based on color theory principles, and applying paint using airless spray systems or brushes.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately interpret project requirements and ensure precise execution.
- Assist with renovation projects by performing masonry, stucco application, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and masonry work as needed.
- Conduct maintenance tasks on construction sites such as repairing damaged structures, restoring surfaces, or replacing fixtures to uphold safety and quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools like saws, drills, hammers, and welding equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in framing, carpentry (including trim carpentry and frame carpentry), plastering, masonry, and renovation work.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and resource management.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics to accurately interpret project designs.
- Expertise in residential and commercial painting techniques—including industrial painting and construction site painting—using various tools such as airless sprayers and power tools.
- Ability to perform caulking, restoration work, concrete finishing, welding, masonry repairs, and fixture installation with precision.
- Understanding of color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic consistency across projects.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations necessary for accurate work execution.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety practices and teamwork in fast-paced environments.
