Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to children and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and hygiene management
- Support early childhood development through engaging activities, teaching, and behavior management strategies
- Administer first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or health concerns
- Foster a positive environment by encouraging social interaction, playtime, and learning experiences suitable for age and developmental stage
- Collaborate with families, teachers, or healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, health updates, and developmental progress
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, or caregiving roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Ability to manage behavior positively and implement classroom or care routines effectively
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for nurturing others’ growth and well-being
- Experience with toddler care, infant care, childcare activities, and classroom experience is highly desirable
