Current Positions: Full Time (40 hrs) & On-call Part Time positions are available
Starting Pay Between $22 - $25 per hour
The Lead Teacher at Raleigh Rescue Mission plays a crucial role in teaching and ministering to children and parents in the New Life Program. This position focuses on providing age-appropriate curriculum and care to promote healthy development.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate servant-leader committed to excellence in infant/toddler education. Candidates with experience working in a Licensed Childcare center are encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum and enforce behavioral rules in the classroom.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit the interests and learning styles of children.
- Build positive relationships with children and parents, track children's progress, and report to parents.
- Manage classroom activities, maintain cleanliness, and facilitate developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans and encourage social interaction among children.
- Ensure child safety and follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain inventory of classroom materials and supplies.
- Assist in the organization of special events and welcome and support volunteers.
Experience:
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
- Required certifications: NCECC Qualifying Letter
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed daycare.
- Experience and desire to work with a diverse group of children.
- Basic computer proficiency, ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds, and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Valid NC driver's license (required)
- Preferred CPR & First Aid & NCID.
- Pre hire process: Background Checks/Drug Screening/Physical/Health Questionnaire/TB Test.
