This position requires travel based on our project locations. Our projects span across CA, AZ, HI, NV, TX, and WA. Housing, per diem, air fare coverage and gas allowance included.

What You’ll Do
As a Superintendent at Austin/Jones Corp., you own the job site.
You’ll lead daily field operations from Pre-Construction through Close-Out, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating all onsite construction activities
- Managing subcontractors with accountability and respect
- Building and maintaining project schedules and lookaheads
- Producing detailed daily reports with progress photos
- Coordinating inspections, testing, and compliance
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and secure job site
- Upholding high safety standards for crews and visitors
- Partnering closely with Project Managers to manage scope, budget, and completion percentages
- Participating in owner meetings and representing AJC professionally
- Reading and interpreting plans, addenda, and field directives
- Utilizing construction management software (Wrike, Fieldwire,Dropbox, etc.)

Ideal background:
- 5–10+ years as a Superintendent in Retail TI, Commercial, or Ground-Up Construction
- Experience with Big Box / Grocery / Fuel projects strongly preferred
- Experience working with clients such as Walmart (remodels, expansions, fuel stations), Sam’s Club, CVS, ALDI is a major plus
- Strong blueprint reading and specification comprehension
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and general PC/iPad use
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Willing to travel full-time and work extended hours when needed
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
