OUR ORGANIZATION
The Edge is a 501c3, non-profit “Business as Ministry” of Destiny Church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. We operate a 54,000 square feet facility that offers programs in sports and the arts, as well as partnering with organizations ranging from recreational groups to professional teams for rental space and events. The facility also serves as the home of Destiny Church for its worship services and ministry activities.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You will receive mentoring and support from an array of coworkers, working and retired professionals, and contracted consultants, along with holistic leadership development.
THE POSITION
We are seeking highly motivated Volleyball Coaches to join The Edge Volleyball Academy. This role will be responsible for the planning, implementing, and evaluating training sessions for your assigned team. Reports to the Club Director and The Edge Program Director. The season runs from December through April, but also includes tryout sessions in October.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Plan and facilitate volleyball practices in preparation for tournament season.
- Lead team at all tournaments and maintain communication with the parents of players throughout the season.
- Assist in court setup, equipment management, and training organization.
- Facilitate drills and technical skill development for youth.
- Model and teach values such as teamwork, discipline, respect, and Christlike leadership.
- Use approved whole-life coaching models (e.g., value-based coaching programs) to share biblical truths through volleyball.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Club Director and Program Director
- Conduct ongoing assessment and evaluation of player performance and implement changes and/or enhancements as needed.
- Assist with marketing and communication efforts to maximize registrations and participation.
- Other duties as assigned.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- A passion for volleyball (prior high school or college participation as a player or coach preferred).
- Sports-related certification(s) a plus.
- Ability to organize and manage athletes and equipment for practices.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong attention to details.
- Called to serve in this role in fulfilling the mission, vision and strategy of Destiny
Church and its related entities - The Edge Sports & Arts Academy and Destiny Holdings, LLC.
- In agreement with the doctrine, mission, vision, values and strategy of Destiny Church and The Edge.
THE ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is energetic, active and friendly. It is a 54,000 square foot office setting and sports facility with courts, indoor turf, and meeting spaces.
THE COMPENSATION
- Season Stipend with per diems for each tournament
THE ETC:
- Able to work evenings and weekends.
- Applicants will be subjected to background checks and possible drug testing.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
