Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities and therapeutic interventions, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behaviors
- Conduct medical documentation, record vital signs, and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support crisis intervention and crisis management efforts to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
- Collect data on client progress, behaviors, and treatment responses to inform ongoing care plans
- Administer medication under supervision and assist with intake assessments for new clients
- Collaborate with social workers, medical staff, and families to coordinate comprehensive behavioral health services
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred
- Knowledge of crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or PTSD
- Strong communication skills for patient care, social work support, and data collection purposes
- Certification or training in applied behavior analysis (ABA), addiction counseling, or special education is a plus
- Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
