Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. Respiratory Therapists administer oxygen therapy, manage ventilators, perform respiratory treatments and diagnostic testing, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and adjust treatment plans. Respiratory Therapists work with patients of all ages in acute care, critical care, emergency, and specialty settings to help improve respiratory function and overall patient outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience
- NRP Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license
