Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated School Age Teacher to inspire and support children during their after-school hours and camp activities. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for school-aged children.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, including sports coaching, arts and crafts, theater, and other enrichment programs.
- Maintain safety standards by practicing first aid when necessary and adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or behavioral support.
- Facilitate tutoring sessions or homework assistance to reinforce learning objectives.
- Support children’s emotional well-being through Christian counseling principles or other nurturing approaches as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, babysitting, tutoring, or early childhood education is highly preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare and early education.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment that encourages growth and exploration.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
