Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff to ensure productivity, safety, and accountability across all shifts.
- Operate and ensure proper use of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems.
- Enforce safety protocols, OSHA compliance standards, and company policies to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel.
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and vendors to align inbound and outbound shipment schedules.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing loads for accuracy and damage, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Generate operational reports, track KPIs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics supervision, or a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Experience operating and overseeing the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer/reporting tools.
- Ability to lift heavy loads when needed and comfort working in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices.
- Prior experience with staff scheduling, performance management, and process improvement is a strong plus.
