Pay
- $18.50–$23.00 per hour

Schedule
- Flexible scheduling available
- Monday–Sunday availability preferred
What You'll Do
- Provide compassionate one-on-one care for clients living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Support safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation. Experience using a Hoyer lift is a plus.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and meaningful cognitive engagement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
- Observe and report changes in clients' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the care team.
- Promote dignity, independence, and quality of life for every client.
Qualifications
- Active New York Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.
- Previous experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia preferred.
- Experience assisting bed-bound or wheelchair-bound clients preferred.
- Hoyer lift experience is a strong plus.
- Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:
- Providing companionship to older adults and people with chronic health conditions in their homes (e.g., discussing current events, creating artwork, reviewing photo albums).
- Providing compassionate, patient hands-on personal care support for ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transfers.
- Planning activities outside the home and accompanying clients to keep them engaged with the world and their favorite pastimes (e.g., trips to museums, concerts, plays, or the park).
- Escorting clients to doctors’ appointments.
- Running errands for clients (e.g., grocery shopping, sundries).
- Reminding clients to take their medications.
- Doing light exercise with clients (e.g., helping with stretching routine or prescribed physical therapy).
- Assisting clients in preparing meals.
- Performing light housekeeping, such as dusting, tidying, and laundry.
Qualifications:
We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds including the creative arts and healthcare fields. Our employment is selective. Strong candidates possess:
- A valid HHA certificate in New York State
- A passion for caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Prior experience working with this population is valued, but not required.
- An accredited high school diploma, though we prefer candidates with college and advanced degrees.
- Deep empathy and patience.
- Flexibility, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Creativity and a positive, open-hearted approach.
- Strong composure under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust-based relationships with clients and their families.
