Elementary Art Fausey Elementary SchoolThis position requires a dynamic individual to teach Elementary School Art. The ideal candidate will hold licensure in Visual Arts from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education while possessing a strong content background, solid classroom management skills, and excellent organizational skills. Previous teaching experience and familiarity with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks is preferred.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for remaining up to date regarding curriculum content. - Responsible for effective planning and assessment of the art curriculum and instruction.
- Responsible for effective management of the classroom environment. - Responsible for providing best teaching practices, which includes clear learning goals to the students using appropriate instructional and questioning techniques. - Willingness to differentiate learning content, process or product to support all learners and has a strong understanding of tiered Instructional routines. - Responsible for using innovative approaches, and instructional strategies, including the effective use of technologies, to increase student learning and confidence to learn.
- Responsible for the promotion of high standards and expectations for student achievement.Qualifications & Requirements: - Licensure in Visual Arts (PreK-8) from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. - Strong content background in visual arts with classroom management skills and excellent organizational skills. - Hold a deep commitment to students and families and value diversity. - Ability to build authentic, caring relationships with students, colleagues and families.
