The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a highly motivated, friendly, full-time Medical Assistant. We are a multi-location practice. Hiring for our Riverdale (Bronx), NY location.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any inquiries or concerns while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for patients
- Room and perform vitals signs
- Take a detailed History of present illness
- Prior authorizations for medications
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, and scanning documents
Qualifications:
- The ability to reliably commute to your scheduled location.
- Ability to commute to at least 1 of our other locations as needed is a plus!. (Tolls reimbursed)
- Completion of Medical Assisting course preferred or relevant experience. We are willing to train.
- 1 year of previous experience in a healthcare setting. Physical Therapy or Pain Management a plus!
- Excellent multitasking, organizational and organizational skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
