This role supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The School Age Site Director will oversee the planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating of daily recreational activities to provide adventure, enjoyment and develop social skills and interests in the children. The School Age Site Director is responsible for ensuring programs are provided in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Kenosha YMCA and the licensing regulations of the State of Wisconsin.
- Ensure the health, safety, welfare, and positive development of youth ages 5–12 while maintaining appropriate staff-to-child ratios and state licensing requirements.
- Build and maintain positive, nurturing relationships with children, families, school partners, and the community while representing the YMCA professionally.
- Oversee daily operations of the assigned site, including program implementation, attendance, emergency procedures, safety practices, and compliance with YMCA, state licensing, and YoungStar standards.
- Supervise, train, schedule, coach, and support site staff, including assisting with hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, evaluations, and staff development.
- Plan, prepare, and lead engaging age-appropriate activities, lesson plans, enrichment opportunities, and recreational programming for youth.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming program environment, including managing supplies, equipment, activity materials, and site needs.
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and department leadership through daily interactions, meetings, newsletters, and program updates.
- Ensure accurate completion of administrative responsibilities, including attendance records, timekeeping, incident documentation, medication logs, emergency drills, and required reports.
- Support program growth through participant recruitment, family engagement, registration assistance, and promotion of YMCA programs.
- Participate in trainings, staff meetings, department initiatives, and provide support at other sites as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years

Required to keep First Aid, CPR and AED Certificate current
- Complete 15 hours of continuing education in a year

Must maintain state requirements for Center Director for 50 or fewer children

Provide current Wisconsin certificate from The Registry with level 7 or higher
