Overview
Experienced caregivers needed in the Stroudsburg, PA area. Must have at least 2 years of verifiable work experience, clean criminal background, 2step PPD required upon hire. Candidate must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Primary job duties are to assist consumers with activities of daily living, personal care, home support etc., EOE.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Utilize specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to healthcare professionals promptly
- Follow established protocols for patient observation, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and update care plans as needed to reflect evolving needs
Experience
- Prior experience in home care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and assessment
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as dementia or autism enhances your suitability for this role
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and privacy are upheld at all times
- Previous caregiving roles involving heavy lifting or use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts is advantageous
- Certification in CPR, First Aid and certifications in hospice or dementia care are a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while following detailed care plans are essential for success
