American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 3+ years of current Med/Surg experience and prior travel experience.
-
Hospital and clinic setting on a 19-bed Med/Surg unit
-
Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, with possible 1:7 on nights
-
Uses Epic EMR
-
12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
-
Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
-
No on-call requirements
-
Dress code allows any color scrubs
-
Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of submission

Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
-
Minimum 3 years of current Med/Surg experience required
-
At least 6 months of previous travel nursing experience required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Tele/Progressive Care experience preferred
-
Must have a completed Skills Checklist for Medical Surgical experience, current within 1 year
-
One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
-
Must have own vehicle
-
Formulate and revise individualized patient care plans based on patient response to treatment

Coordinate and supervise patient care as needed
-
Utilize assessment data to identify patient care needs, including education and discharge planning
-
Recognize and report abnormal assessment findings, incorporating them into the plan of care
-
Accurately document all patient care activities including wound assessments, teaching, and medication administration
-
Delegate tasks appropriately to healthcare team members
-
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this position

No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted for this assignment
