Vac Truck Driver
Bainbridge Construction LLC is seeking motivated and dependable Truck Drivers to join our growing team. We specialize in heavy civil construction, including roadway projects, underground utility installation, grading, and site development throughout the region.
In this role, drivers are a key part of daily operations and project success. Responsibilities include hauling construction materials, transporting heavy equipment between job sites, assisting with earthwork operations, and supporting crews on road and pipe projects. This position offers steady work, a team-oriented environment, and the opportunity to be part of large-scale infrastructure projects.
(We also have position open for a Vacuum Truck driver Vacuuming utilities to expose them. This is a more hands-on on role where you are using water to expose utilities 2-4ft deep )
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of trucks and heavy hauling equipment including:
- Dump trucks
- Side dumps
- Tractor-trailers
- Lowboy and equipment trailers
- Water trucks and other support vehicles
- Haul dirt, aggregate, pipe materials, construction equipment, and project supplies to and from job sites.
- Transport heavy equipment between construction projects safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles and trailers are safe and compliant.
- Secure loads properly and follow all DOT and company safety regulations.
- Assist crews with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with foremen, dispatchers, operators, and project managers.
- Operate equipment safely in construction zones, job sites, and varying weather conditions.
- Support road construction, underground utility, grading, and excavation operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license required.
- Previous experience hauling construction materials and/or heavy equipment preferred.
- Experience operating dump trucks, side dumps, lowboys, or tractor-trailers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe hauling practices.
- Ability to safely secure equipment and oversized loads.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and job site conditions.
