Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive clinical counseling services to diverse populations, adults with substance abuse and mental health diagnosis. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, trauma, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring disorders through evidence-based practices and trauma-focused therapies. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, therapy, and grief counseling.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver clinical counseling services remotely while maintaining HIPAA compliance and clinical documentation standards.
- Engage in case management activities including patient care coordination, treatment planning, progress documentation within EMR/EHR systems, and adherence to clinical ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patients with co-occurring disorders.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards for all patient interactions.
Requirements
- Current licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, or LISW with valid state certification.
- Proven experience working in outpatient or inpatient settings; experience with substance abuse preferred.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), psychopharmacology basics, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluations and medical documentation.
- Experience working with individuals with co ocurring disorders preferred.
- Competence in crisis intervention, crisis management, and trauma-informed care approaches.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation standards using EMR/EHR systems; telehealth experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
