Westminster Terrace Senior Living is hiring an energetic and creative Engagement Director to lead resident activities, programs, events, and meaningful engagement at our senior living community in Westminster, California.
If you enjoy working with older adults, creating memorable experiences, organizing events, and bringing people together, this is an opportunity to make a difference every day. We are looking for someone who can build an engaging activity calendar while developing programs that support connection, creativity, movement, learning, and fun.
Schedule
Tuesday through Saturday
Pay
$21.00-$23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
What You'll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and lead daily resident activities and special events
- Develop a varied monthly activities and engagement calendar
- Encourage resident participation in social, recreational, educational, creative, and wellness programs
- Coordinate entertainers, community partners, volunteers, outings, and special celebrations
- Lead group activities and provide individual engagement when appropriate
- Promote resident choice and incorporate resident interests into programming
- Decorate and prepare community spaces for holidays and events
- Take photos and help capture resident activities for community marketing when appropriate
- Communicate upcoming programs with residents, families, and team members
- Maintain activity supplies, calendars, participation records, and related documentation
- Work collaboratively with community leadership and other departments
- Help create a welcoming, active, and connected senior living experience
What We're Looking For
- Experience in senior living activities, assisted living, memory care, recreation, hospitality, social services, or a related setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative, enthusiastic, organized, and dependable
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and leading activities
- Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, and priorities
- Genuine interest in working with seniors
- Basic computer and calendar-management skills
- Ability to meet applicable employment and regulatory requirements
