Role Overview
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for driving new business for the company, managing the North America sales team, and delivering growth through new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion
Key Responsibilities
- Partners with the Chief Revenue Officer, Go to Market leadership, and PRGX leadership on refinement of the topline strategic growth plan for the North American business and own execution of the plan.
- Delivers new logo and existing customer bookings targets for the business.
- Develops and implements strategies for new market entry and whitespace account penetration.
- Partners with the operational delivery team to optimize handoffs of new customers.
- Leads, manages, and assesses the current sales team and identify opportunities for upskilling.
- Defines the optimal sales organization and deployment model for the business.
- Continuously improves execution by identifying gaps between current and desired state, developing a roadmap, and leading implementation of the changes.
- Recruits, onboards, and manages a high performing team of hunter-oriented sales executives.
- Lead the team through its transition from a contingent fee structure sales model to a more SaaS oriented approach.
- Coaches and manages the team through KPIs / performance metrics.
- Effectively communicate performance of the organization with leadership on an ongoing basis.
- Develop and implement remediation plans for performance deficiencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Minimum of 5 years’ direct sales team leadership experience in a SaaS and/or technology-enabled services organization of relevant scale and complexity. Experience in a B2B environment with a complex, solution sale required.
- Experience driving sustainable revenue growth via new logo accounts.
- Experience selling to the Fortune 500 with a national and/or global footprint.
- Experience building, implementing, and leading strategic and operational account management and commercial processes.
- Strong business acumen and financial skillsets, with the ability to analyze and effectively interpret financial, sales, marketing, and customer information for effective decision making.
- Strong leadership skills and proven judgement of talent, with an emphasis on hiring and developing high performing teams; able to influence, lead, and manage a global team within a complex organization.
- Experience leading change through influence; capable of driving major commercial decisions across a diverse set of internal stakeholders; collaborative and team oriented.
- Polished executive presence and communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with executive audiences.
- A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves and others; able to work in a fast-paced, private-equity sponsored environment.
