MEDICAL ASSISTANT - RHEUMATOLOGY

SOUTH FLORIDA RHEUMATOLOGY (www.SouthFloridaRheum.com) is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Hollywood FL clinic. This is a patient-facing job that includes taking vitals, drawing blood, and doing injections in a busy, well-established specialty practice.
SFR is the first and oldest rheumatology clinic in southeast Florida, with a reputation for excellence.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday; no evenings or weekends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and review new patient paperwork, enter data into our EMR, and "room" incoming patients.
- Take and record vitals.
- Perform injections and blood draws.
- Answer inbound phone calls (as part of the team with other staff), retrieve messages, return calls.
- Make follow-up and reminder calls to patients.

REQUIREMENTS
- Medical Assistant Certification: Candidates must hold an active CMA, CCMA, or NCMA certification with at least two years' prior experience in a medical office.
- Bilingual: This means that you can communicate fluently and with confidence in both English and Spanish.
- Excellent Writing Skills: You must be able to write clear, grammatically correct, declarative sentences in English as there are infrequent occasions when a medical scribe is not available for one of our providers.
- Hollywood/Pembroke Pines: This position is based primarily in Hollywood (FL) but some days at our Pembroke Pines location may also be required.
