Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Contractor to lead and manage diverse construction projects from inception to completion. Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all phases of construction projects, including remodeling, restoration, and new builds.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of project specifications.
- Manage subcontractors and tradespeople specializing in carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry, roofing, glazing, flooring installation, tile laying, and other building material installation tasks.
- Oversee the use of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively while ensuring adherence to safety protocols across all job sites.
- Conduct construction inspection and quality control checks to verify compliance with building codes and project requirements.
- Schedule and operate heavy equipment as needed for excavation, concrete forming, or site preparation activities.
- Coordinate with clients and project stakeholders to ensure clear communication regarding progress, timelines, and any issues that arise during construction projects.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in building construction, remodeling, or restoration projects.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of various trades including plumbing, electrical work, masonry, roofing, stucco application, caulking, plastering, fabrication techniques, glass installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying and concrete finishing.
- Experience with construction management software such as Bluebeam or similar tools is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical schematics for precise execution of tasks.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
- Outdoor work experience across different weather conditions is essential for projects.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously on busy job sites.
- Valid certifications in heavy equipment operation or relevant trade licenses are advantageous but not mandatory.
