Job Summary
The Family Doctors is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) to join our busy, physician-owned primary care practice in Shreveport.

What You'll Do
· Collect and process patient specimens for laboratory testing
· Perform laboratory testing according to established procedures
· Complete quality control, calibration, and routine instrument maintenance
· Enter laboratory data accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
· Maintain laboratory logs, documentation, and inventory
· Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and laboratory quality standards
· Provide outstanding customer service to patients and coworkers
· Assist with additional laboratory duties within your scope of licensure
Qualifications
· Current Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME) license appropriate for this position
· Medical Laboratory Assistant: High school diploma or equivalent
· Preferred: Clinical laboratory and phlebotomy experience
· Strong computer and electronic medical record skills
