Position Summary:
Elevate Care is seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors while ensuring laundry services are completed efficiently and according to facility standards.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces
- Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident linens and facility laundry
- Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping carts, laundry areas, and storage rooms
- Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
- Properly handle cleaning chemicals and laundry supplies
- Remove trash and replace liners throughout the facility
- Respond promptly to housekeeping and laundry requests
- Assist with maintaining adequate linen and supply inventory
- Work collaboratively with residents, families, and team members to promote a positive environment
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
