Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Auto Body Office receptionist to join our fast-paced, high-volume collision repair shop. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone
- Manage day-to-day front office operations in a busy auto body shop
- File and manage insurance claims efficiently
- Provide daily updates to customers regarding repair status
- Answer incoming calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally
- Maintain consistent follow-up with insurance companies for approvals and updates
- Monitor and manage the flow of vehicles coming in and on the property
- Maintain accurate records of all repair orders and customer interactions
- Collaborate with technicians, estimators, and other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Explain claim procedures clearly and professionally to customers
- Convert and close walk-in customers by building trust and guiding them through repair process
- Provide exceptional customer service, especially in high-pressure situations
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in an auto body or collision repair shop is required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient in estimating software (CCC One, Mitchell, etc.) is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volume
- Customer service experience and a proactive attitude
- Ability to handle walk-ins and convert them into booked repair jobs
Compensation:
Pay varies on experience and knowledge
Schedule:
Monday to Wednesday 8-6
Thursday to Friday 8-5
Saturdays are sometimes needed
