Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are met or exceeded
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing or linens
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents safely and effectively for floor care, carpet cleaning, and surface maintenance
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or cleaning supplies with proper technique to prevent injury
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness by regularly cleaning floors, surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas when applicable
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific needs and ensure their satisfaction with the cleaning service
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in residential or commercial settings preferred
- Hands-on experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and outdoor tools
- Knowledge of cleaning detergents, sanitation practices, and safety protocols for effective hygiene maintenance
- Experience managing time efficiently to complete tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards
- Background in hospitality or housekeeping management is advantageous
- Ability to perform outdoor work when required, including patio or yard cleaning tasks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their preferences and concerns
