Salary: $45,000 annually

The National Children's Cancer Society (NCCS) is dedicated to providing financial, emotional, and educational support to children with cancer, their families, and survivors.
We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Vending & Thrift Program Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day administration of two fundraising programs that generate sustainable revenue to support our mission.
Our Charity Vending Program partners with businesses that operate vending machines, honor boxes, ATMs, and charging kiosks, while our Thrift Program partners with thrift store operators that collect and resell donated clothing and household goods. Together, these programs provide meaningful funding for the families that turn to us in one of life’s most challenging journeys.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the Vending & Thrift Program Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for program participants and is responsible for maintaining strong partner relationships, coordinating daily program operations, processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting program growth. This role requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service while advancing the NCCS mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for Charity Vending and Thrift Program participants.
- Build and maintain positive relationships through regular communication and follow-up.
- Coordinate daily program operations, including participant support, payment processing, and recordkeeping.
- Maintain accurate databases, reports, and program documentation.
- Respond to participant inquiries regarding donations, donation bins, payments, and program participation.
- Monitor program performance and proactively resolve participant or operational issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve processes and enhance the participants’ experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the NCCS mission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Two or more years of experience in program coordination, customer service, nonprofit administration, fundraising support, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM/database software is required as the CRM is used heavily day to day.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with accurate data entry and recordkeeping abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Professional, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional customer service and representing the NCCS with integrity.
