Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Service and maintain vehicles by performing oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, wheel balancing, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Repair or replace diesel engines and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components to ensure modern vehicle safety features function correctly.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems effectively.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards while providing excellent customer service through clear communication about repairs needed.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
- Skilled in diesel engine repair, vehicle maintenance, and powertrain servicing.
- Familiarity with auto body repair techniques including welding and alignment procedures.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience with automotive service software is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Experience working with vehicle safety systems such as ADAS or performing wheel alignments is highly desirable. Pay: $24.09 - $40.00 per hour
