Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to dogs and other animals housed in the kennel, including feeding, cleaning, and administering medications as directed
- Assist with dog training activities, including basic obedience exercises and behavior reinforcement under supervision
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming, training, or veterinary procedures
- Support pet grooming routines such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to promote healthy coats and skin
- Engage with pet owners by answering questions about pet care, training progress, and kennel policies in a friendly, professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, training areas, and common spaces to uphold health standards and prevent the spread of illness
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies or animals safely within the facility
Experience (Preferred but not required)
- Prior experience working with dogs or other animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, pet grooming salon or similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques or experience assisting with behavioral training sessions beneficial
- Familiarity with pet grooming practices and pet sitting responsibilities advantageous
- Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint methods required for safe procedures
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour
