Summary
The ideal candidate is a certified Yoga Instructor that is interested in instructing classes, building workshops and private sessions. The ideal candidate will create a positive, inclusive environment that inspires individuals to achieve their fitness goals while ensuring safety and proper technique.
Essential Functions
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
• Plan and lead group fitness classes, workshops, and private sessions.
- Demonstrate proper techniques and provide modifications for various fitness levels.
- Motivate and encourage participants to stay active and engaged throughout the class.
- Monitor participants’ form and ensure safety to prevent injuries.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all class attendees.
- Stay current on fitness trends, techniques, and certifications.
- Set up and clean fitness equipment before and after classes.
- Promote upcoming classes and special programs to boost participation.
Internal Relationships
Reports to Director of Fitness
External Relationships
Has regular contact with Guest & Members.
Qualifications and Education/Experience Requirements
- Certification in Yoga (e.g. 200hr or more)
- Experience leading class, workshops, and private sessions with ability to engage members and hotel guest into classes and services.
- Strong knowledge of exercise techniques, safety guidelines, and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to energize and motivate groups of all fitness levels.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
