Job Details
- Role: Working Construction Foreman
- Location: Outdoor job sites (High heat tolerance required)
- Schedule: Standard shift with a strict 30-minute total lunch break (including buying/heat food time)
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Direct crew members, keep everyone on task, and break up gatherings to get back to work.
- Operations: Read blueprints, operate excavators, skid steers, and compactors while working alongside the crew.
- Planning: Look ahead at tomorrow’s tasks and order future materials in advance.
- Safety & Paperwork: Maintain OSHA compliance and complete daily paperwork, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and site logs.
- Communication: Provide clear, direct, and honest instructions to the team and upper management.
- Experience Level: 3+ years ( If you are straight out of school this is NOT for you)
- Physical Requirements: List specific physical demands, such as lifting 50+ pounds and standing or walking for long hours in extreme weather.
Duties
- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, panels, motors, and control systems in accordance with blueprints and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and technical schematics to ensure precise installation and maintenance of electrical components.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical circuits and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate electrical work within project schedules and budgets.
- Supervise and manage teams of electricians and apprentices on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and federal construction safety standards.
- Review construction schedules using Primavera P6 or HeavyBid software to align electrical activities with overall project timelines.
- Manage contracts, procurement of materials, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee construction safety management practices, ensuring all team members follow OSHA guidelines and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the broader construction process.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician within heavy industrial or commercial construction environments.
- Demonstrated ability to read complex blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret engineering specifications accurately.
- Supervisory experience managing teams in a fast-paced construction setting with a focus on safety and quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, project coordination, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations including OSHA standards for industrial sites.
- Hands-on experience with construction site safety management practices including hazard identification and risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for managing crews and ensuring clear documentation of work progress.
Pay: $22.00 - $38.00 per hour
