Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Helper to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials and equipment
- Support the operation of front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump, flatbed, and tractor-trailer trucks as needed
- Help with the safe loading, securing, and unloading of cargo using manual lifting techniques and mechanical aids
- Conduct basic inspections of trucks and equipment to ensure safety standards are met
- Collaborate with drivers to load and unload goods efficiently while maintaining safety protocols
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks such as manual transmission vehicles and heavy-duty machinery
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with various types of trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump truck, flatbed, and tractor-trailer
- Experience or comfort with driving commercial vehicles with manual transmissions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Prior delivery driver experience or familiarity with load & unload procedures preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transportation logistics
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills
