Entry-Level Mechanic - Kalamazoo, MI
Consumers Concrete is seeking a positive, motivated entry-level mechanic to work at our Kalamazoo, Michigan facility. Consumers Concrete is a 93-year-old family-owned company that is a respected leader in our industry and the communities we serve.
Job Duties:
- Safely repair and maintain our fleet of ready-mix trucks, tractors, flatbed delivery trucks, flatbed trailers and bulk trailers.
- Troubleshoot and analyze issues with our fleet vehicles and propose solutions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area and company vehicle.
- Help out with other things as needed
- Keep all work areas organized and clean
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Skills Needed:
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of proper safety standards and procedures
- Diesel engine maintenance and repair experience
- Must have own hand tools
- Bodywork and fabricating skills are a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Michigan driver’s license required. CDL is a plus
- Able to lift 50 lbs. regularly
