Resident Engineer/Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
Location: Hyattsville, Maryland
Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000, commensurate with experience
O’Connell & Lawrence, Inc. (O’C&L), a progressive engineering, surveying, and construction management firm, is seeking a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) to serve as the full-time, onsite Resident Engineer for a $110M, three-year project in Hyattsville, Maryland.
The project involves the reconfiguration of an occupied 11-acre campus and includes construction of a new 110,000 square foot office building, construction of several out-buildings, renovation of several existing buildings, demolition of existing structures, and major site and infrastructure improvements.
Position Responsibilities
The Resident Engineer will serve as the primary onsite liaison with the project owner, manage field staff, and provide leadership, oversight, and technical support throughout construction.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction management professional who can lead a complex, multi-phase project on an active campus while effectively managing multiple stakeholders and maintaining control of quality, cost, and schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential required
- At least 10 years of building or facility construction management experience on projects of similar complexities
- Demonstrated experience managing field personnel and coordinating multiple project stakeholders
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
