Overview
Join Progress Chemical as a General Manufacturing Laborer and become a vital part of our production process! In this role, you will support daily operations by performing a variety of hands-on tasks that keep our manufacturing facility running smoothly and efficiently. Your contribution will help ensure high-quality products are produced safely, on time, and to exact specifications. Duties
- Assist with the cleaning of 55 gal. drums and 250 gal totes utilizing our washer equipment to prepare the containers for filling.
- Filling samples or small (5 gal.) orders for UPS shipping.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies within the facility.
- Conduct manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting and moving materials.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, maintaining a clean and organized workspace to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
- Support process improvement efforts by adhering to manufacturing processes and suggesting efficiencies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to manage production schedules and meet daily output goals.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a factory or manufacturing environment is preferred, but not nec essary.
- Comfortable working with and around industrial chemicals used to make water based products.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including safety protocol adherence and lean manufacturing practices.
- Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively within Progress Chemical.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
