Kids Club Miami is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organized Part-Time Family Assistant / Household Manager for a private family in Palmetto Bay, FL 33158, with two boys, ages 5 and 7.
This is not a traditional nanny-only position.
The ideal candidate must have experience providing hands-on childcare AND professionally managing broader family and household responsibilities in a private home.
Schedule
- Approximately 25–30 guaranteed hours per week
- Primarily Monday–Friday afternoons
- Approximately 4–6 hours per day
- Additional evenings, weekends, longer days, overnights, or travel may occasionally be requested
- Long-term position
Compensation
$30–$40/hour, depending on experience.
Childcare Responsibilities
- School pickup and transportation
- Driving children to activities and appointments
- Homework and school-project support
- After-school routines
- Meals and snacks
- Children’s laundry, bedrooms, belongings, and organization
- Children’s calendars and school-related logistics
- Activity planning
- Occasional evening, overnight, and travel childcare
Family Assistant / Household Manager Responsibilities
- Family calendar and appointment management
- Grocery shopping and household errands
- Returns and household purchases
- Household inventory and supplies
- Household organization and daily reset
- Meal planning and simple meal preparation
- Vendor and contractor coordination
- Home maintenance scheduling
- Household administrative tasks
- Travel planning, packing, and preparation
- Vehicle maintenance and appointment coordination
- Helping maintain household systems and anticipating family needs
REQUIRED Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional private-family nanny experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional Family Assistant / Household Manager experience in a private household
- Fluent/professional English
- Valid U.S. work authorization
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean/acceptable driving record
- Own reliable, currently insured personal vehicle
- Fully comfortable regularly transporting children in your OWN vehicle
- Please note: the family does NOT provide a vehicle
- Must live within approximately 30 minutes or less of Palmetto Bay, FL 33158
- Strong professional private-family references
- Able to pass background and driving-record screening
- Non-smoker
- Comfortable with W-2 household payroll
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain before starting
- Valid passport and willingness to travel
- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills
- Seeking a stable, long-term position
Important
Professional nanny experience and Household Manager experience are not interchangeable.
Children’s laundry, children’s meals, toy organization, or occasional errands performed as part of a nanny role do not by themselves qualify as professional Household Manager experience.
