Position Overview:
The Ophthalmic Technician plays a vital role in patient care by performing preliminary work-ups and diagnostic testing. This position involves working closely with both patients and physicians during exams to ensure efficient, high-quality care and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient intake, including medical history and preliminary testing
- Conduct diagnostic tests and assist with clinical procedures
- Support physicians during eye examinations
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Deliver excellent patient care with professionalism and compassion
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and highly detail-oriented
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within the practice
- Previous ophthalmic or medical experience preferred, but not required
