Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to join our vibrant team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will create a warm, friendly atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will ensure guests feel valued from the moment they arrive.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude, providing a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and clear communication
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating arrangements and service flow
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to enhance guest relations
Skills
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
