Merci Café is a French breakfast & lunch café opening in Palm Harbor on September 12, serving homemade French food, pastries, and traditional French specialties.
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Prep Cook / Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is junior or entry-level, but we are also open to candidates with some kitchen experience.
Schedule
- Up to 40 hours per week, depending on business needs
- Monday off
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday availability is required
- Schedule for the other days is flexible and will be adjusted according to customer demand
- Daytime hours — no late-night shifts
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef with daily food preparation
- Prepare vegetables, ingredients, sauces, and other items according to recipes and prep lists
- Assist the Chef during service
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and properly sanitized
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen after service
- Help with dishwashing during slower periods
- Work efficiently and stay calm and focused during busy service periods
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
What We Are Looking For
Previous professional kitchen experience is not necessarily required. We are willing to train the right person.
