We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide companionship, encouragement, and daily support in a person-centered environment. This is a non-medical support position focused on helping an adult maintain routines, build independence, and live a fulfilling life.
Female applicants are preferred based on the individual's personal care and privacy needs.
What You'll Do:
· Provide positive companionship and meaningful social interaction.
· Participate in community activities such as the library, shopping, parks, games, and other recreational outings.
· Provide reminders and encouragement to help follow a structured daily routine.
· Prepare simple meals and snacks.
· Provide supervision to ensure safety, comfort, and well-being.
· Encourage independence with daily living skills while providing assistance as needed.
· Assist with light housekeeping and organization.
· Complete required documentation, progress notes, and timesheets accurately and on time.

Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Training is provided.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently.
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· A valid New Jersey driver's license preferred.
Employment Requirements
· Willing to consent to fingerprinting, criminal background checks, and drug screening in accordance with NJ DDD requirements.
· Complete all required NJ DDD onboarding and training.
· Maintain required certifications throughout employment.
